Do you make live comedy?

Tell us about your comedy brands to unlock landing pages in your city.

HOW

How This Works, How We’ve Built It, and How You Keep It Alive

1. How the System Works

The World Comedy Web is a shared infrastructure, not a centralized product. It exists to empower comedians, producers, and cultural workers by giving them tools to represent themselves, organize locally, and be recognized globally. But it only works if the people it was built for actively use it.

We are doing our part:

  • Building and maintaining the digital foundation

  • Establishing ethical standards for participation and representation

  • Publishing open-source tools and public platforms for every level of involvement

  • Developing partnerships and codeshares to expand access and reduce dependence on extractive platforms

But this network cannot succeed without shared responsibility. We rely on our members to:

  • Represent themselves here

  • Share their content here

  • House their labels and brands here

  • Direct their audiences here

  • Help sustain and spread the mission

The World Comedy Web is not a broadcast channel. It is a commons, and it thrives only when those who benefit from it build with us.

2. How We've Made It Easier

To support participation at every level, we’ve built and structured a range of tools:

Tools Available to All WCF Members

Every member of the World Comedy Foundation has access to a set of core tools designed to make ethical participation and self-representation simple:

  • wcf.app – A secure, members-only global directory

  • wcf.app/@location – Public city and metro pages showcasing active listings

  • 3volution.me – Personalized member landing pages

  • 3volv.me – A secure portal for updating your data, submitting reflections, and organizing your presence

  • THAT Comedy Guide (th4t.co / th4t.com) – An open mic and grassroots show guide that lives on comedy.guide as a public resource for all comics and fans

THAT Comedy Guide was created by Rampantly in partnership with the World Comedy Foundation as a public gesture toward equity. By placing grassroots listings inside a premium editorial platform, we are leveling the playing field and honoring all forms of comedy—not just those already deemed “marketable.”

3. Additional Tools for Professional Comedians & Touring Talent

For performers, producers, and showrunners ready to grow their careers through digital representation and tour support, we’ve developed additional tools via comedy.guide and rampantly.la.

These are available to all who acknowledge the mission of the WCF and wish to integrate their work into an equitable, participatory ecosystem:

  • Rampantly Digital Tour Manager – Apply for digital tour representation, submit events, and manage shows across cities

  • Event Syndication System – Automatically connects tour dates to metro pages, fan-facing platforms, and directory profiles

  • Premium Representation Intake – For seasoned professionals seeking platform-verified profiles, booking support, and expanded reach

  • current.fan / nextshow.me / nextone.live – Fan-facing pages and booking links to streamline show discovery and support

  • Laugh.Social – A decentralized network of 150+ city pages on Facebook, where local photographers, producers, and comics are tagged, amplified, and archived

These tools are designed not for exclusivity, but to reward participation, elevate independent talent, and expand the creative commons while preserving professional standards.

4. How You Can Support This Work

We cannot do this alone. The World Comedy Web is only as strong as its contributors. If you believe in what we’re building, there are clear and powerful ways to help.

  • Contribute financially, if you can, to help us edit, vet, and publish content back into the community in ways that reflect our shared values

5. How We Make It Matter

The World Comedy Web isn’t just about listings. It’s about reorganizing representation so that comedians, cultural workers, and independent producers control the systems that shape their careers.

It’s about building a public infrastructure rooted in trust, transparency, and local power.

And it only matters if it’s used.

If you’re reading this, you’re already part of the story. Now we ask: help us write the next chapter.
