What this is
The World Comedy Web is the World Comedy Foundation’s digital commons for live comedy: a connected map of performer profiles, venue pages, show listings, local chapter homepages, and archival records. Put simply, it is the collective digital presence of comedians and comedy entities who participate through World Comedy Foundation membership—organized so local scenes can be discovered, promoted, and preserved without turning comedy into a marketplace.
What it is not
WCW is not a booking agent and does not broker gigs or take commissions. It is not an engagement feed built to trap attention.
What you can do here
• Find shows by location, date, format, and community context.
• Verify who is listed, who hosts, and what has been recorded historically.
• Follow scenes, venues, and performers across regions.
• Read the public Handbook Library to understand how WCW stays fair, durable, and worth trusting.
