Jade Esteban Estrada

Jade Esteban Estrada is an American journalist, radio personality and stand-up comedian. Out Magazine christened him as "the first gay Latin star." Estrada is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York. In 1993, he played Flat Top in the German production of Starlight Express in Bochum, Germany. His television credits include In the Life on PBS and The Graham Norton Effect on Comedy Central. In 2006, Kentucky Governor Ernie Fletcher paid tribute to Estrada by commissioning him the title of Kentucky Colonel, the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, which acknowledges outstanding ambassadors of goodwill and fellowship around the world. Estrada joined other honorary colonels such as Winston Churchill, Ronald Reagan, Bob Hope, Joan Crawford, Mae West, Johnny Depp, Muhammad Ali and Pope John Paul II. In 2008, he was the host of the 19th Annual South Florida GLAAD Media Awards on Bravo. During the Obama Administration, he was invited to The White House to attend the State Arrival Ceremony welcoming President of Mexico Felipe Calderon and his wife Margarita Zavala. Estrada's column appears in Out in SA, the San Antonio Current and the San Antonio Sentinel. He also hosts The Saturday Night Super Show on KTSA 550 with comedian Roman Garcia.
