Hi I am Max Roach in i was born in January 10 in Newland 1924 township Nc and Max Roach was one of the two leading drummers of the bebop era (along with Kenny Clarke) and was one of the leading musicians, composers, and bandleaders in jazz since the 1940s. i grew up in a household where gospel music was quite prominent. my mother was a gospel singer and i began drumming in a gospel ensemble at age 10. Roach's formal study of music took him to the Manhattan School of Music.

i have on impact on my music Maxwell Lemuel Roach (January 8/10, 1924 – August 16, 2007) was an American jazz drummer and composer. A pioneer of bebop, i worked in many other styles of music, and is generally considered one of the most important drummers in history.some facts about me is Roach's formal study of music took him to the Manhattan School of Music. In 1942, he became house drummer at Monroe's Uptown House, enabling him to play and interact with some of the giants of the bebop era, such as Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Thelonious Monk, and Bud Powell. i achievements Two of his recordings have been inducted into the Grammy Awards Hall of Fame (1995 and 1999). In 2001, he received an honorary doctor of music degree from Columbia University. Max Roach died in his sleep on August 16, 2007 in New York City. In 2009, he was inducted into the North Carolina Music Hall of Fame.Jun 8, 2012 Max roach approach drumming in percussion He morphed the drums from just playing time to be a bigger part of the conversation. Playing from the ride cymbal and freeing up the snare and bass drum, Max used this newfound power musically.
